A modern computer is made up of at least one processing component, typically a central processing unit (CPU) in the shape of a microprocessor, and some kind of computer memory, most frequently semiconductor memory chips. The processing element performs mathematical and logical processes, and a sequencing and control unit has the ability to alter the sequence of operations in response to data that has been stored.
Technology is a gift of God. After the gift of life it is perhaps the greatest of God's gifts. It is the mother of civilizations, of arts and of sciences. Freeman Dyson
Nanotechnology will let us build computers that are incredibly powerful. We'll have more power in the volume of a sugar cube than exists in the entire world today. Ralph Merkle
Technology has forever changed the world we live in. We're online, in one way or another, all day long. Our phones and computers have become reflections of our personalities, our interests, and our identities. They hold much that is important to us. James Comey
Keyboards, mice, joysticks, and other input and output devices, as well as input/output devices that perform both duties, are all components of peripheral devices (e.g., the 2000s-era touchscreen). Peripheral devices enable the saving and retrieval of operation results as well as the authorization to access information from an external source.
